Transition Team

The Transition Team was tasked with creating opportunities for the congregation to share their input on various topics related to the history and future of St. Mark Lutheran.  The information gathered was used to provide the basis of the Mission Site Profile. This is a document provided to potential candidates for call to St. Mark as pastor to acquaint them with the church and its ministries.

In addition, the Transition Team helped with the following interim tasks:

  1. History – looking at what to keep and what to let go
  2. Congregational System – looking at issues that seem to recur, especially cycles of conflict
  3. Mission and Ministry – How does the church  relate to its mission and vision statements?  What are the core values?
  4. Relationship with the larger church – use of synod and regional resources, partnership with other congregations
  5. Leadership – How are the gifts of congregational members being utilized?
  6. Setting – How do you relate to the community around you?
