Great Expectations

In this month’s The Lutheran magazine there is an article entitled Great Expectations about congregations entering the call process. The first line is, “This is not speed dating, this is a serious courtship.” You can find a copy of this on the bulletin board in the hallway, if you’d rather not read it online.

This is a serious courtship, between congregation and pastor. The courtship…the calling of a pastor takes much work, much time, much patience, and much prayer. We suggest praying for wisdom, insight, patience, humor and God’s will and God’s love.
