Blessing of the Animals–October 5th!

Sunday, October 5th at both our 8:30 and 11:00 services, we celebrate the ministry of St. Francis, the blessing of creation, and the gift of our pets with the Blessing of the Animals. Animals of all shapes and sizes are welcome to attend worship and be blessed. Please be sure that all animals are safely secured in cages or on leashes. Large animals will be blessed in the parking lot between services.

We are also collecting items for “Concern For Animals.” Concern for Animals is a local non-profit agency offering animal welfare services in Thurston, Mason, andLewis Counties. They especially need: dog/puppy food and treats, cat/kitten food and treats, domestic bird food, non-clumping cat litter (smaller bags preferred), pet beds and blankets in good condition, dog and cat toys, leashes, collars, carriers, crates, and rabbit or guinea pig food. Monetary donations are also welcome. You can drop off any of these items throughout the week and place them in the narthex, or bring them with you on Sunday morning. Thank you!
