Mission Possible

Remember the early TV show Mission Impossible? Remember how the mission was communicated on reel to reel tape, then self-destructed? The actors were equipped with disguises and fancy devices while attempting to accomplish the mission. And it always turned out. It always did. But “not without a lot of twists and turns and action and peril”.

As children of God, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to “lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called” (John 6). That calling is to live out the love of Jesus in our lives. We are not equipped with disguises and fancy devices. But rather, through God’s grace, we are given humility, gentleness and patience. Here at St. Mark we bond together as a team, serving one another and reaching out to others with these gifts. And just as on TV, we encounter twists and turns and peril and danger. We need each other to accomplish His mission.

And what changes our mission from impossible to possible? Click on the link below to receive our “real to real” communication. Accompanied by the original music, Pastor Beth reminds us what makes the mission impossible possible. Will you choose to accept it?
