Pumpkin Harvest at the St. Mark Community Garden

The Kindergartners from Mountain View Elementary that planted all the pumpkins in the Community Garden last spring got to return this year to see what they had grown!  It was a sunny, crisp fall day perfect for a trip to the garden.  It was GREAT fun!

Five classes of eager 1st graders came for a field trip, and were hosted by Earla, Bergel, Jenny, Pastor Beth, and Mary.  They got to see what the inside of a pumpkin looks like, and then got to eat toasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkins cookies.  Each class got to choose 3-4 pumpkins to take back to their classrooms.

Gary D. then loaded them in the back of his pick-up truck and transported them across the street to the school.

We love our special relationship with the children of Mountain View Elementary!  God Bless St. Mark and Mountain View.
