An arrival and an adventure.

Today was the 1st Sunday of Advent and the Gospel of Matthew 24:36-44 describes what Jesus said his second coming would be.
Pastor Eric defined Advent to mean an arrival and an adventure and Jesus asking us all to be ready.
There were two large pictures of Jesus on easels on the alter. One was a smiling Jesus and the other was a more serious looking Jesus. Jesus loves us and changes us as we spend the whole church year waiting, watching, observing His death and resurrection, seeing promise and having hope because the light of Christ is always chasing the darkness.
We have four promises from God:
God will find us in strange and surprising ways.
We can always see Christ.
The journey is not always easy but we will have company.
We can see God, He will find us and He can change us.
