We lost a friend and brother in Christ. Jim Spaid passed away Friday night after performing the Hallelujah Chorus with the Olympia Choral Society. Pastor Eric, who is also a member of OCS, was with Jim when he passed. During Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Eric took some time to speak about Jim. More than living fully, Jim lived faithfully. He reminded us that when we believe, the good news allows us to shine in the darkness. And when our “earthly battery” runs out, Jesus is there to prepare the way.
As we grieve our dear friend Jim, we were given three thoughts…sing like it’s your last song, enjoy those around you, and live and breath the fullness of God.
