The Baptismal Font is central to who we are but why did Jesus need to be Baptized?
In Matthew 3:13-17, even John the Baptist questions why Jesus has come to him and asked to be Baptized.
Pastor Eric said being Baptized is a gift, a good thing to do, a right thing to do.
He asked us to pretend we were all cell phones that needed to be activated in order to function. That we were vessels that can do good things for a certain amount of time and that Baptism reminds us of God’s Grace, Mercy and Love for us.
Jesus asks us, commands us to do things but never based on shame, fear or guilt.
Jesus being Baptized is a reminder that there is a great plan for us.
