Great Turnout for Potato Planting

The weather could NOT have been better for the 5th annual St. Mark Community Garden Potato Planting.  There was a good turnout of very able bodied gardeners and not only were the potatoes planted, the pea fencing was repaired, all the beds in the central garden were weeded, and Haldor’s dahlias were planted in the center of the garden.

Mountain View Elementary classes are going to help us plant again this year.  The first field trips are three Kindergarten classes on Thursday April 30th.  Fellow Gardener Ann, a retired Kindergarten teacher, is going to help us with two of the groups –  thanks Ann!

If anyone else would like to help with the garden field trips, please let Gail F know!
