Love is sovereign here.

In Luke 10:38-42, Jesus lovingly answers Martha’s concern about her sister Mary.
We too have concerns especially after a week or so of truly troubling news. In our county, there have been shootings, killings, the deaths in Nice, France and the political unrest in Turkey. What is going on? Is this violence happening more or are we more aware of it? This is not what God intended for humanity.
Pastor Beth explained the Hebrew word: ezer , which means a helper or partner, people working together for the common good.
There has been division since the beginning of time. Cain is still killing Abel.
We are all ezers in the gospel as long as we remain open to all that is possible with God.
We can’t close ourselves off from one another.
Be open to seeing God’s possibilities in each other.
As Anne Lamott recently wrote, “Grace always bats last; Love is sovereign here.’
