St. Mark Community Garden Shed Fundraiser

On Saturday September 13th, 4 St. Mark gentlemen – David N., Lloyd S., John M., and Ron W –  will try to outdo each other with their barbecued culinary creations.  Based loosely on the show, “Chopped”, they will get baskets filled with surprise  ingredients  they need to include in their barbecue dish.  Judges from the Thurston County Food Bank, Lacey Parks and Recreation, and St. Mark will decide who wins the competition.  Then everyone who attends will enjoy dinner and a pie auction.

What is this for?  It is a donation- only fundraiser to replace the dilapidated storage shed that has been shared by the Community Garden and the church.    Come at 3pm and enjoy appetizers while watching the cooks and their teams whip up their creations.  Watch the judges decide who wins the competition and then enjoy dinner.

Pie bakers, please bring your special pie recipe for the pie auction.  All pies purchased during the auction will be used for dessert for the event.  All proceeds go towards creating a new, larger space that will allow the church to store their garden and lawn equipment and allow the Community Garden a secure space for all garden related equipment.
