Yes, indeed! The “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” has come to St. Mark! A member of St. Mark nominated Pastor Beth for this challenge–to dump a bucket of ice water over her head and give a donation in support of research for ALS. This member lost her husband to this disease. Pastor Beth accepted this challenge! She and the member will give a brief announcement before worship on Sunday, August 31. They will pass out information about ALS and how people can donate to this worthy cause. Outside, after worship, a cold bucket of ice water will be awaiting Pastor Beth! You are invited (and challenged!) to join this fun way of increasing awareness of and funding for this tragic disease.
