I am the recycled worship service volunteer recruiter from the late 1980’s, and a member since 1984. When attempting to recruit volunteers in the 80’s, I would call on the phone and ask folks to volunteer. I didn’t have a computer and email wasn’t in existence.
Here I am back again; slower in body and mind, with some experience, and receiving appreciated help from the staff of St. Mark in recruiting volunteers. Thanks too to all those who give their time, talent, and treasures within St. Mark. There is no magic wand to make this happen, it is all God’s loved people with willing hearts and minds who go forth and serve earthly saints in one way or another.
Please know that the staff is working on documents which encompass ushering, Altar Guild, readers, communion servers and Acolytes. There will be an official training time by the staff for those who are new in any of these areas of worship volunteering. We will post dates and times of training as they occur here on the website.
