Introducing New Member Gerry H

We thought it would be a good idea to get to know our new members a little better by featuring them on the website with a short intoduction. So…please meet Gerry H! Before joining St. Mark in October, 2012, Gerry was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Bunnlevel, NC. Gerry, originally from Idaho, joined the Army at 18, and spent the next 26 years serving our country. Gerry and his beautiful wife Sachiko have lived in Washington since 2007 when he was stationed at Ft. Lewis.

Gerry holds an Associates Degree in History from Atlantic Cape Community College in New Jersey and a Bachelor of Science Degree in History from Excelsior College in New York. Gerry is currently in Graduate School at St. Martin’s University with a concentration in Education. After he graduates in 2014, Gerry will start his “next career” as a school teacher. Gerry enjoys hiking, history and art. He speaks “a little bit” of French, and is currently learning Japanese.

Welcome Gerry! We are glad you chose to become a member of St. Mark and appreciate all you do for the church.
