This is the Season of Light!

The Three Kings, Wise Men or Magi followed the bright star to see the babe born in the manger. When they arrived doesn’t matter. Who they were doesn’t matter. How many of them actually made the trip doesn’t matter. If there was a woman among them doesn’t matter. What does matter is that whatever they brought to pay tribute to the Son of Man, was the best they had to offer at the time.

John said, 8:12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

Matthew tells us, in 5:14-16, that we are the light of the world and we should let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father in heaven.

We are called to be the Light of Christ shining through us.

In this new year, Pastor Beth asks us to consider how will we offer, who we are and what we have, to God. To offer today, right now, in this moment of time, not in the future.
