In the third episode of the Advent Sermon Series, “Generosity towards God, our Family, the Church Family and the World”, Ken A and Pastor Eric shared their observations about our generosity to one another within our St. Mark church family. We give strongly of our love and compassion, our time and talents. We give without expecting anything in return. But the reality is…we get more in return than we give.
Today‘s gospel shows John the Baptist inviting others to turn to Jesus, to love each other, then turn that love toward the world. Once we love and support each other individually, we are equipped to go out and spread that generosity outside our church family. Imagine the win-win in that love-love situation!
