Thanksgiving Baskets for Mountain View Elementary School Families

Again this year St. Mark will be providing Thanksgiving baskets to families at Mountain View Elementary School in Lacey. We are committed to providing 30 food baskets!  You can help by giving an entire Thanksgiving feast (as outlined below), a turkey, or put a check in the offering (write Thanksgiving Baskets in the memo section). All food needs to be returned to the church no later than Sunday, November 20, 2011

A complete Thanksgiving basket consists of:

  • 1 medium size turkey (frozen)
  • 2 to 3 packages of prepared stuffing
  • 5 pounds of potatoes
  • 1 pound of butter
  • 1 to 2 large cans of sweet potatoes or yams
  • 2 to 3 cans of green beans or corn
  • 1 can black olives
  • Pumpkin pie (frozen)
  • 1 to 2 packages of turkey gravy mix
  • 1 to 2 cans of cranberry sauce

Please bring the Thanksgiving basket in a box to the church on either November 13 or 20; however, ALL food needs to be brought to the church by Sunday, November 20.

NOTE: Due to space issues, please DO NOT put your frozen items in a church freezer. If freezer space is a problem at your house, contact Gail to discuss available options or if you have questions.

Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. — 1 John 3:18
