On this Reformation Sunday, Pastor Beth quoted reformer Martin Luther, “Faith is God’s work in us that changes us and gives us new birth”. We spoke together her mantra, “God loves us. God forgives us. God is always with us.” That really says it all! Those simple words are the basis of Christian faith.
The message in today’s Gospel (John 8) is that through Jesus, we experience God’s love and forgiveness. Pastor Beth reminds us that even when we think we have nothing…we have everything! Because God finds us, loves us and showers us with His grace and forgiveness. We are reformed. And each time, we begin anew.
