Sticks teach us lessons about the church.

This is the Seventh Sunday of Easter and, in John’s Gospel, 17:1-11, Jesus prays to his Father in heaven asking that those who will continue his work will live in Unity.
Sticks teach us lessons about the church. We were all given a stick as we entered church and Pastor Beth had two volunteers attempt to break sticks of different numbers.
Church is not just a building or a worship service. All of us are the church. If we stick together, we are even stronger. We give one another strength even if we don’t always agree and we snap like a stick.
Jesus prayed that we would keep alive Christ’s message of Love knowing that Unity is diversity without division.
Let us stick together as we live together in Christ’s Love.
