Take Care, Be On Guard

Today’s Gospel is from the twelfth Chapter of Luke.

Jesus’s followers as usual asked Him many questions and Jesus answered, as He often did, with some beautiful parables.

He said to take care and be on guard against all kinds of greed and then gave examples.

Jesus also instructed His followers to not worry about their life.

Pastor Eric asked how much different are we from each other.  It is based on who we are, what we say and what we do.  He used the Teddy Roosevelt quote of “comparison is the thief of joy”.

“Be rich for God and strive for the Kingdom.”

“Either God is a God of All or no God at all.”

“Stop worrying and let God be your God of All.”

Pastor Eric also expanded on the Acronym “THINK” to employ when speaking to others.

T – True (is it true)
H – Helpful (is it helpful)
I – Inspiring (is it inspiring)
N – Necessary (is it necessary)
K – Kind (is it kind)

One example mentioned pertaining to this acronym is “Some of our leaders perhaps, who don’t maybe think, before they say things.”

Remember, “Stop worrying and let God be your God of All.”
