The Gospel for today is a familiar one…including a golden rule most of us learned as children. When Jesus described to his disciples how we should treat others, he advised, “Do to others as you would have them do to you”.
Pastor Eric reminded us that although the Golden Rule may seem simple to fulfill, we are all human and we are going to fail in our attempts to put into motion God’s “action verbs”. But because we are loved children of God, we are also capable of doing some “awesome things” when we listen, love, do good, bless, pray and give, even to strangers and others who may be different from us.
