St. Mark Social Justice Meeting

A group of St. Mark members who participated in Pastor Eric’s Bible Studies over the last year has become interested in social justice issues and are meeting on Zoom to talk about ideas and ways St. Mark can make an impact locally. The group would like to inform and invite other members of St. Mark to participate.

This newly formed Social Justice Work Group has invited a representative of the Faith Action Network (FAN) to our next meeting.  From their website: “Faith Action Network is a diverse coalition through which thousands of people and over 150 faith communities across Washington State partner for the common good.  Together, we are a powerful voice of the faithful building a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.”

Two of our members, Darcy Huffman and Liz Langeland, have had years of experience working with FAN and think that St. Mark might find FAN to be a great organization to partner with in our Social Justice work.

Elise DeGooyer, Co-Director of Faith Action Network, will join us Tuesday, April 13, at noon on Zoom.  Join us as we learn more!!

Watch for Zoom login information on email as the date comes closer.
