I grew up in Canada, mostly in B.C., and moved to the U.S. as an adult in 1999. I first lived in Portland, Oregon, then moved to Renton, Washington in 2012 for a new role at my organization.
While I’m new to St. Mark, I’ve been part of various church communities since the 1980s.
I’m now retired from employed work after a career in government service and later in health care communications. Now I enjoy photography and writing for readers, as Angela Hoy, on Substack and other platforms. Find out more about me and my writing at angelahoywriter.com.
My husband and I moved from Renton to Lacey in 2021, and we have settled in very nicely.
The St. Mark community of faith is a lovely way to further anchor myself in our area. I’ve met some wonderful people, and I really love the music!
