Peer Ministry Training – September 26th

Peer Ministry Training: Equipping Youth and Adults for Christ-Centered Relationships

Mark your calendars for an exciting day of learning, growth, and leadership development at the upcoming Peer Ministry Training on September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Silverdale Lutheran Church in Silverdale, Washington.

Peer Ministry is people ministry. It is the practice of building meaningful relationships rooted in Christ’s love and creating communities where people feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. This training is designed to equip both youth and adult leaders with practical skills for supporting others in everyday life, whether at school, church, home, or in the community.

Participants Will Learn How To:

  • Care for others with compassion and empathy
  • Create welcoming and affirming environments
  • Strengthen relationships through authentic listening and encouragement
  • Live out their faith in everyday interactions
  • Share Christ’s love through service, kindness, and presence

Grounded in the belief that “we love because Christ first loved us,” Peer Ministry helps young people and adults recognize opportunities to serve as caring Christian leaders in their daily lives. Rather than focusing only on formal leadership roles, the training emphasizes how every interaction can become a ministry opportunity.

The event is open to students in grades 6–12 as well as key adult leaders who support youth ministry. Congregations are encouraged to participate together, allowing adults and students to build a shared vision for ministry and leadership within their church community.

The registration cost is $200 per congregation, and financial scholarships are available to help ensure that churches of all sizes can participate.

Whether your congregation is looking to strengthen youth leadership, build deeper connections, or create a culture of care and belonging, Peer Ministry Training offers practical tools and faith-filled encouragement to help participants make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
