Prayer Shawl Ministry

This morning (April 28, 2019), you will notice on the back of the pews some shawls and lap blankets we have knitted or crocheted recently. After they are finished, a label is attached. They are then put in a bag with a card. As each one is knitted or crocheted, a prayer is said. As an example, “Lord, you know the needs of the person receiving this shawl, let them feel your love and presence”. This ministry has been doing this since August 2006 and has given out 238 shawls. They are given to people in the hospital, ill at home, homebound, having a difficult time, or just letting someone know they are cared for. They can be church members, their family, a friend, or anyone that has a need. For more information or to get a prayer shawl, you can talk to Karen G, Jan S, or leave a message with Vicki L in the church office. We give thanks today for this compassionate ministry!
