Chay T, daughter of Joan C, was born in Renton, WA. The family moved to Olympia when she was three years old, and she was baptized at St. Mark at that time. Chay returned to St. Mark a couple of years ago and renewed her membership last fall.
Chay graduated from Tumwater High School and later went to work for the State in the Department of Labor and Industries. She worked for Labor & Industries for 35 years until recently, when she had to quit.
Chay is an animal lover and rescuer. She loves thrift store shopping and is currently occupied writing a book. She has found St. Mark to be all inclusive and she is very comfortable here. The quote from Martin Luther that Pam B puts on church e-mail correspondence, “Peace if possible, truth at all cost”, was what turned the tide for Chay, and she thought, “That’s the church for me.”
